Hearts of Oak set to appoint Nigerian gaffer Paul Aigbogun as new head coach

Giant’s Hearts of Oak SC are set to appoint Nigerian Paul Aigbogun as new manager for the upcoming 2023-24 league season.

Hearts of Oak SC are currently without a substantive manager following the departure of David Ocloo, assistant coach.

The Continental Club Masters after sacking Serbian trainer Slavko Matic, had David Ocloo in office till the 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League season ended. However, Ocloo has also left after tendering in his resignation letter.

Several managers both local and expatriates have shown interest in the vacant coaching job including Nigerian coach, Paul Aigbogun. Hearts of Oak SC are impressed with his exploit and wants to acquire his services, according to information gathered.

Talks are advanced for his appointments in the coming days

Paul Aigbogun who managed the Nigerian U-20 men’s team previously handled Warri Wolves in Nigeria on two occasions.

He was appointed the head coach of Enyimba International in 2016. With his experience, Hearts of Oak SC will boost of having an experienced trainer in their dugout and atleast move away from their poor campaign they had last season.

Hearts of Oak SC placed 12th position on the 2022-23 league table with 45 points.
