Ghanaian champions Medeama SC drawn against Nigerian club

Ghana’s only representative at the 2023-24 CAF Champions League, Medeama Sporting Club have been drawn to face Nigerian side Remo Stars Sports Club in the preliminary stage of the competition.

On Tuesday, July 25 2023 the Confederation of African Football (CAF) held the draw for the upcoming CAF Inter-Club competitions at the headquarters in Cairo.

In all, 54 clubs from 42 Member Associations will participate in this season’s TotalEnergies CAF Champions League, including Ghana.

Medeama SC who won the 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League will now take on Remo Stars SC of Nigerian in the preliminary round where they hope to advance to next stage with triumph.

The Tarkwa-based outfit will first host Remo Stars before travelling to Nigeria for the reverse fixture. However, first leg is scheduled for August 18-20, 2023.
