Ghana defender suffer injury and ruled out of Ghana's 2023 AFCON qualifier against CAR

Ghanaian defender Daniel Amartey has been ruled out for two weeks due to injury, he sustained in the course of the week.

Amartey, 28, suffered an injury in his leg, during Besiktas training after their UEFA Europa Conference League game against Dynamo Kiev. The center-back enjoyed full throttle of the game only to suffer a knock at training on Wednesday.

He will be out for 14-days and will be missing in action when they take on Dynamo Kiev in the return leg.

The former Leicester City defender, however is expected to start his rehabilitation as soon as possible to return to full fitness after the international break.

His injury, also means he will miss Ghana’s final fixture in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Central African Republic next week.
