Ghanaian defender Konadu Yiadom has completed a switch to the Ukraine top-flight after a season spell with Accra Hearts of Oak SC, Nkrataasem.com can confirm.

The 23-year old joined the Continental Club Masters early 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League on a three-year contract from West African Football Academy (WAFA) and after a season left for greener pastures abroad.

The Black Galaxies center-back has been transferred to FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih in Ukraine on a year deal with an option to extend one more based on performance.

Yiadom joining Hearts of Oak SC was highly rated with high expectations from the Phobians fans but could not rise to the hype as he had a disastrous campaign both for the club and national team, Black Galaxies.

He was touted one of the best center-backs in the Ghanaian elite division during his days at WAFA, however, yet to exhibit that character once again.

Nevertheless, he is expected to guide FC Kryvbas to a successful campaign when the 2023-24 season begins.

FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih was a professional Ukrainian football club based in Kryvyi Rih.

Until 2013 the club participated in professional competitions. In June 2013 the club went bankrupt and was expelled from the Ukrainian Premier League. There was a failed attempt to revive the club in 2014, until finally the club was reestablished again in 2015.

In 2020, the club merged with Hirnyk Kryvyi Rih which took on the Kryvbas’s brand.

They are four-time Champions of the Ukrainian SSR thus, 1971, 1975, 1976, 1981. Won the Ukrainian First League in 1992 and was a runners-up of Ukrainian Cup in 2000.
