Ghana international Kamaldeen Sulemana was sent-off in the 2023-24 SkyBet Championship at home, after climbing off the bench. The winger, was introduced in the second half as the Saint lost 4-1 to Leicester City FC on Friday.

Sulemana returned from injury to play infront of his fans at St. Mary’s stadium but did not have one of the best games he could expect.

In the 46th minute, the 22-year-old replaced Samuel Edozie to play his part as they were hoping for a positive results. With Southampton FC thrilling by a huge 4-1 score margin, the Black Stars attacker was given the marching orders in the stoppage time with seconds to end of game.

Though, the tackle looks hard but red card very weird, since it wasn’t dangerous.

Sulemana upon returning from his injury, was not expecting this performance as he keeps working hard.

He will miss the Saints next two matches thus against Norwich City and Bristol City unless reduced based on appeal.

Following, Southampton FC defeat to Leicester City now sit 7th position with 10 points, just five points adrift leaders Foxes.
