Anim Addo Charged with Misconduct by GFA Over Social Media Comments
President of Young Apostles FC ,Samuel Anim Addo has been charged with misconduct by the GFA following controversial comments he made on social media platform X.
The charges, outlined under Articles 34(6)(d) and 38(8)(c) of the GFA Ghana Premier League Regulations, stem from remarks Anim Addo made regarding officiating during a recent Ghana Premier League match between Accra Lions and Dreams FC.
Anim Addo had accused referee Maxwell Hanson of being used for “dirty work.” He further alleged that the GFA had played a role in silencing his concerns about officiating standards, accusing the Association of suppressing his efforts to expose poor officiating.
The GFA stated that Anim Addo’s comments brought the Association and the Ghana Premier League into disrepute, prompting the charges.
The former GFA Executive Committee member has until Monday, January 13, 2024, to formally respond to the charges.
