Hajia Zenabu Sulemana Pushes for Gender Equality in Tennis Ahead of Advantage All Tourney
Governor of the Advantage All Tennis Women’s Empowerment Tourney, Hajia Zenabu Sulemana, has called for greater gender equality in tennis ahead of the event on March 8, 2025, at the Accra Tennis Club.
The event will feature mentorship sessions with experienced female coaches, former professional players, and industry leaders.
Speaking on Sportsnite on Asempa FM, she emphasized that the tournament is more than just a competition—it is a platform to break barriers, promote inclusivity, and create leadership opportunities for women in tennis.
“Disability is not a challenge but an opportunity to prove one’s abilities. This tournament brings women together to inspire and empower one another,” she stated.
To encourage more women in leadership roles, organizers have introduced a form where participants can indicate interest in coaching, umpiring, administration, and team management.
With just days to the event, Hajia Zenabu’s call to action highlights the need for continuous efforts in empowering women in sports, making the tournament a significant step toward gender equality in tennis.
