The Ghana Water Polo fraternity is preparing for an exciting start to the year as Black Star Polo, the event organizers, gears up to host their annual water polo event.

The much-anticipated competition will take place at the University of Ghana Sports Directorate Pool on January 18, 2025.

The event is part of an ongoing effort to promote, groom, and develop water polo athletes in Ghana, with an ambitious goal of securing Ghana’s representation at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

Defending champions, Awutu Winton Senior High School A, will defend their title against strong contenders, including Accra Art Centre, KNUST Club, Lake Bosomtwe Club and Awutu Winton Senior High School B

In line with tradition, the event will also provide opportunities for first-time participants to receive training as a side attraction. Medals and certificates will be awarded to outstanding players and teams, recognizing excellence and inspiring greater participation in the sport.

To prepare for the 4th Annual Water Polo Season, Black Star Polo has invited Mr. Tony Tonka Karaman from USA Water Polo to conduct a series of Water Polo and Referee Clinics.
