Former Team Manager of Accra Hearts of Oak, Sabahn Quaye, has called for greater unity among the club’s supporters, stressing that internal division is stifling the growth and energy of the club.

His remarks come at a time when the club has faced growing pressure from sections of its fanbase over performance issues and administrative challenges. However, Quaye’s comments highlight the need for collective effort and harmony among all stakeholders, especially supporters, to restore the club’s former glory.

Speaking in an interview on Adom TV’s Fire for Fire show, Quaye expressed concern about the negative impact fan disunity is having on the club’s progress.

“In every team, the supporters help in the team grow. But in Accra Hearts of Oak, the supporters are killing the energy of the club,” he stated.

Quaye acknowledged that while there have been criticisms directed at the club’s leadership, he believes the fans themselves must take responsibility for their lack of cohesion and constant bickering.

“They always complain about the Board Members but there is no unity among the supporters. They should be united and forget about always blaming the board,” he added.

Hearts of Oak, one of Ghana’s most historic football clubs, has experienced mixed fortunes in recent seasons, prompting calls for reform, improved management, and stronger fan engagement.
