GFA Schedules 32nd Ordinary Congress for August 20 in Prampram
The Ghana Football Association has announced that its 32nd Ordinary Congress will take place on Thursday, August 20, 2026, as the country’s football governing body prepares for one of its most important annual meetings.
The gathering will be held at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram and is expected to bring together key stakeholders from across the Ghanaian football landscape to deliberate on matters affecting the development and administration of the sport.
Convened in accordance with Article 31(2) of the GFA Statutes, the congress serves as the association’s principal decision-making platform, providing members with an opportunity to assess the state of football in the country and contribute to future planning.
Delegates from various football sectors, including clubs, regional associations, technical bodies and other affiliated groups, are expected to participate in the one-day event.
The annual meeting will provide a forum for reviewing the performance of competitions, evaluating development initiatives and examining governance matters that shape the direction of football in Ghana.
The congress is also expected to assess progress made over the past year while discussing challenges confronting the game and identifying strategies to address them.
In line with statutory requirements, the GFA has formally notified its members of the meeting date to allow sufficient time for preparations. A comprehensive convocation package will be distributed ahead of the congress and will contain the official agenda, activity reports, audited financial statements and the auditors’ report.
The Executive Council is anticipated to engage extensively with delegates during the session as stakeholders examine achievements, ongoing projects and areas requiring further attention.
As the association continues efforts to strengthen football structures and improve standards across all levels of the game, the congress is expected to play a significant role in shaping policies and priorities for the coming year.
The GFA has encouraged all delegates to adequately prepare for the meeting, expressing confidence that the congress will generate productive discussions and contribute to the continued growth and development of Ghana football.
