FC Samartex 1996 completes Richmond Darko signing

FC Samartex 1996 has signed attacking midfielder Richmond Darko ahead of upcoming Ghana Football Association league season. He joined on a permanent contract from lower-tier club Tema Youth FC.

The midfielder following a successful negotiations with the Timber Giant’s signed a two-year contract with an option for further year for the Ghana Premier League side.

Darko for the past four seasons, has become a mainstay in Tema Youth FC where he made his talent known by many. His consistent performance earned him call ups to the national team, playing for the Ghana U-20 and U-23 team.

“We are elated to formally introduce Richmond Darko, a burgeoning midfield talent, who joins us on a permanent contract.

He is a former Ghana U-20 & 23 player and previously played for Tema Youth”, club statement reads.

He joins the Samerboi based Premiership outfit with vast experience and expected to help their season during his spell.
