Ghanaian youngster Ernest Nuamah has been unveiled by Olympique Lyon as new signing. He completed the sensational move from FC Nordsjaelland on a record transfer fee of €30million.
Nuamah after just a season with FC Nordsjaelland caught the attention of the French Ligue I club who quickly made a move for him.
The Right to Dream Academy graduate joined a season-long loan with obligation to permanently sign a four-year contract after his loan spell. On Wednesday, he was officially announced and will be wearing the jersey number 37.
Nuamah will be wearing the jersey which has been worn by only Africans – Thomas Fontaine (Madagascar) and Demba Toure (Senegal.
The 19-year-old Ghanaian attacker becomes the latest to use the 37 – a number he also used at Nordsjaelland.
He becomes the 5th Ghanaian player to join Lyon after Abedi Ayew Pele, Michael Essien, John Mensah and Elisha Owusu.
