Coach Robert Sackey Questions Black Stars’ World Cup Prospects Under Current Leadership
Ghanaian football tactician Robert Sackey has expressed concerns over the Black Stars’ ability to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup under the current coaching setup.
His comments come amidst growing scrutiny of the Black Stars’ performance and coaching strategies following their recent struggles in the AFCON qualifiers.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Sportsnite, Sackey emphasized the need for immediate changes in leadership to enhance the team’s chances of securing a spot in the global tournament.
“Our technical team is inexperienced and that is why we are experiencing bad results. The approach needs to be changed. If the right approach is taken, it will bring about good results.
If the Black Stars coach is not changed, it will be difficult to qualify for the World Cup,” Sackey remarked.
Head Coach Otto Addo will submit his technical report to the GFA tomorrow for a decision on his stay.
