CAS discharge verdict on GFA/ Ashantigold and Inter Allies players case; sanctions annulled

Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has cleared Ghanaian players who were allegedly involved in match-fixing scandal of Ashanti Gold SC and Inter Allies FC back in 2021-22 Ghana Premier League have been cleared off all charges.

CAS has therefore annulled all sanctions imposed on Inter Allies and Ashanti Gold SC players who were involved and was punished by the Ghana Football Association for several months. Famous among the list, is Richard Lamptey, Hashmin Musah, Fard Ibrahim, Eric Esso and Seth Osei .

The ruling has also fined the Ghana Football Association.
