Bonsu Baah Scores as Al Qadsiah Share Spoils with Al Shabab
Ghana international Christopher Bonsu Baah delivered an impressive performance on Tuesday night, finding the net for Al Qadsiah in a 2-2 draw against Al Shabab in the Saudi Pro League.
The winger started and played the full match in the Round 29 encounter at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium, playing a key role in a thrilling contest.
Al Qadsiah began the game on the front foot and took the lead in the 16th minute through Bonsu Baah, who finished off a well-crafted move initiated by Mateo Retegui with a powerful strike that left the goalkeeper with no chance.
Despite the bright start, the hosts were unable to sustain their momentum as Al Shabab gradually grew into the game. Their persistence paid off in the 35th minute when Ali Azaizeh equalised, restoring parity before the break.
The visitors continued their resurgence in the second half, with Azaizeh grabbing his second goal of the night in the 54th minute after being set up by Abderrazak Hamdallah to give Al Shabab the lead.
Al Qadsiah, however, refused to back down. They continued to push forward and were rewarded in the 76th minute when Retegui found the back of the net to level the score and secure a point for the home side.
Bonsu Baah’s goal adds to an impressive campaign for the Ghanaian, who now boasts three goals and eight assists in 27 league appearances this season.
