Member of Parliament for New Edubiase, Hon. Adam Abdul-Salam has expressed concerns over the declining state of Ghanaian football, emphasizing that the Black Stars’ struggles reflect deeper issues in sports management.

The Black Stars failed to qualify for the 2025 African Cup of Nations to be staged in Morocco later this year leading to a lot of Ghanaians losing hope in the team.

The President of Ghana John Dramani Mahama, during the State of the Nation Address, admitted that the country’s sports sector is struggling and needs urgent revival.

The former Sports Committee Member in Parliament agrees with this assertion and believes this issue is rooted in the mismanagement of the team.

“When the Black Stars perform well, we are all happy and even forget about other sports. But when they decline, it becomes clear that our sports sector is in crisis. This has exposed how unserious those in charge are about managing our sports,” Hon. Abdul-Salam stated on Asempa FM’s SportNite.

With growing frustration, there are calls for better leadership, accountability, and investment in Ghana’s football to restore its lost glory.
