Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has set his sights on securing all three points in their upcoming Ghana Premier League clash against Hearts of Oak, expressing confidence that his side holds a mental advantage ahead of the fixture.

Speaking to Medi TV on Thursday, Tanko suggested that Hearts of Oak’s recent 1-0 defeat to Nations FC could have a negative impact on their morale — a factor he hopes to exploit when the two teams meet on Sunday.

“Our next game is against Accra Hearts of Oak. We are preparing very well so that we will get our points as well,” Tanko stated. “They are playing today and I think we have two days more rest. Definitely it’s good for us so we are going to prepare very well and go and face them.”

Tanko added that the timing of the fixture, coming shortly after Hearts’ latest setback, gives his side an extra motivational boost.

It’s not good morale for them so we are going to use that as a motivation for our team so that we will get something out of there,” he added.

Medeama will travel to the Tuba AstroTurf for the highly anticipated Matchday 22 encounter on Sunday, April 6. The match is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 p.m.
