Ghana’s national football team has made a slight leap in the latest FIFA rankings, moving up from 76th to 75th in the world.

The rise comes on the back of their September 2025 World Cup qualifying matches, where Otto Addo’s men battled to a draw against Chad before securing a hard-fought victory over Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium. Those results ensured the Black Stars maintained their place at the top of Group I in the qualifiers.

Although the team has inched forward on the global scale, their position on the continental chart remains unchanged. Ghana continues to occupy 14th place among African nations.

The incremental progress will be seen as a boost to Ghana’s confidence as they look ahead to the next phase of the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.
