Black Stars Begin Camping in Accra Today Ahead of World Cup Qualifiers
The Black Stars will assemble in Accra today, September 1, 2025, to kickstart preparations for their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures against Chad and Mali.
Ghana’s first assignment comes on Thursday, September 4, when they face Chad at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno in N’djamena. Four days later, on Monday, September 8, the team will return home to host Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The squad is expected to hold its maiden training session this afternoon, with the opening day set aside for fans and media to observe. From Tuesday, however, training will move behind closed doors before the contingent departs for N’djamena later that evening.

Several players, including Jordan Ayew, Antoine Semenyo, and Elisha Owusu, have already reported to camp, with the rest of the squad expected to arrive in the coming hours.
