Black Starlets Touch Down in Morocco for 2026 U-17 AFCON Campaign
Ghana’s Black Starlets have safely arrived in Casablanca ahead of the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations after leaving Accra on Wednesday morning.
The Ghana delegation travelled with a 35-member contingent made up of 21 players and 14 officials as preparations enter the final stretch before the start of the competition.
Following a five-hour trip to Morocco, the team is expected to settle into camp and intensify work on tactical organisation, fitness and team chemistry ahead of their opening fixture.
The technical staff will use the remaining training sessions to sharpen the squad and ensure the players are fully prepared for what promises to be a demanding tournament.
Ghana have been placed in a difficult Group D alongside Algeria, defending champions Senegal and South Africa.
The four-time African champions head into the tournament determined to re-establish themselves as one of the continent’s leading youth football nations while also chasing qualification for the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
