The Black Queens of Ghana will play three high-profile international warm-up matches against Malawi, Botswana, and Nigeria as part of their final preparations for the 2024 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The friendly matches, scheduled to take place in Morocco where the tournament will be hosted, are designed to help the team sharpen tactics, build chemistry, and adapt to varying styles of play ahead of the continental competition.

Ghana will begin their series of preparatory games against Malawi on Friday, June 21, at the Ziaida Complex in Benslimane. They will return to the same venue on Tuesday, June 25, to take on Botswana before wrapping up their pre-tournament schedule with a highly anticipated clash against regional rivals Nigeria on Friday, June 29, at the Lanouria Complex.

The three fixtures will be key in evaluating the team’s readiness, particularly as the Black Queens face a tough opening Group C game against defending champions South Africa on July 7, followed by matches against Mali and Tanzania.
