Black Princesses jet off to Tunisia for World Cup qualifier
Ghana’s U-20 women’s national team, the Black Princesses, have departed Accra for Tunisia as they gear up for their opening fixture in the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
The team left the Kotoka International Airport in the early hours of Thursday, September 18, bound for Tunis, where they will face the North Africans in the second round of the qualifying series.
Ghana, who boast seven previous appearances at the World Cup, will play the first leg against Tunisia on Saturday, September 20.
Head coach Charles Sampson has assembled a 20-player squad for the clash, with former Hasaacas Ladies striker Mercy Attobrah among the notable inclusions.
The Princesses will be aiming to secure a positive result away from home to put themselves in a strong position ahead of the return fixture.
