Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has emphasized that perseverance and consistency will be crucial to maintaining his team’s strong start as they prepare to face FC Samartex in their Week 6 Ghana Premier League fixture.

Speaking to Medi TV, Tanko reflected on the demanding nature of the league this season, noting that success will depend on maintaining focus and grinding out results, even in difficult matches.

“The Premier League is very tough. This season all the teams are prepared very well. It’s not always that you need to dominate to win your matches. Sometimes you play not so good but you win,” Tanko said.

“The league is so long so we will keep on working hard so that even if it’s 1-0 or 2-1 like the next game it will be enough for us,” he added.

Tanko’s comments come as Medeama continue their impressive run of form, which has seen them rise to the top of the table following back-to-back victories.

Their opponents, FC Samartex, have also enjoyed a strong start to the campaign, recording consecutive wins that have pushed them closer to the top four. The two sides will meet in what is expected to be one of the standout fixtures of Week 6, with both teams determined to sustain their winning momentum.

The clash promises to be a tactical battle between two well-drilled sides, with Tanko’s men looking to maintain their dominance while Samartex aim to announce their credentials as serious title contenders.
