Swedru All Blacks are set for an unexpected change on the touchline after head coach Ahmed Fathi confirmed he has stepped down from his role with the club.

The Egyptian tactician disclosed his decision on Saturday through a message shared on his social media platforms, informing supporters that he would no longer continue with the Swedru-based side. While the club has not yet issued an official statement, Fathi explained that his departure was driven by personal considerations.

Addressing fans directly, the former Black Magicians boss expressed gratitude for the backing he received during his spell in charge.

“Dear Swedru All Blacks fans, thank you for your support. I have decided not to continue for personal reasons, with full respect to the club and everyone who works in it. I wish the club continued success,” Fathi wrote.

In the same message, the coach also offered an apology to supporters for being unable to complete the assignment entrusted to him, emphasizing that his choice was made out of respect for the club’s values and leadership.

“I sincerely apologise that I could not finish the task. This decision was taken with full respect for the club and its management,” he added.

Fathi’s announcement brings his tenure to an end and leaves Swedru All Blacks facing the task of identifying a new head coach as they look to steady the team and push forward in the ongoing campaign.
