Aduana FC have strengthened their attacking options with the acquisition of winger Daniel Awuni, sealing a three-year contract as preparations intensify for the second half of the Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Dormaa-based club confirmed the capture of the highly regarded wide player following his departure from Serbian side FK Čukarički, where he spent the past four years of his career. Awuni’s return to Ghana comes after a mutual termination of his contract, bringing an end to his European stint that began after leaving Norway’s Sarpsborg 08.

Aduana see the winger as a timely boost to their title ambitions, with Awuni expected to inject speed, flair and experience into their forward line. His versatility on the flanks and exposure to football outside Ghana are viewed as key assets as the Fire Club aim to sustain momentum in the league.

The 23-year-old first made his name with Accra Lions, breaking into senior football during the 2021/22 season. He found the net twice in 26 league matches in his debut campaign and went on to score six goals in 58 appearances over two seasons, performances that paved the way for his move abroad.

Now back on home soil, Awuni begins a fresh chapter with Aduana FC, eager to rediscover top form and play a decisive role as the club chases domestic honours in the months ahead.
