Accra Hearts of Oak Team Bus Involved in Accident En Route to Samartex Game
Accra Hearts of Oak SC were involved in a minor road accident on Saturday while travelling to honour their Week 33 Ghana Premier League fixture against FC Samartex 1996 in Samreboi.
The incident occurred during the team’s journey after a tricycle reportedly collided with the club’s bus while attempting to cross the road, causing temporary concern among supporters and the wider football community.
Despite the incident, Hearts of Oak confirmed that all players and officials on board escaped unharmed.
“On our way to Samraboi to honour our Matchday 33 fixture against Samartex, our team bus was involved in a minor incident after being hit by a tricycle while crossing,” the club said in a statement.
The club also disclosed that a few individuals affected at the roadside received immediate medical attention following the accident.
“A few roadside victims affected by the incident were taken to the hospital at Wassa Simpa, where they received treatment and have been discharged,” the statement added.
The Phobians are expected to continue with preparations for Sunday’s crucial away encounter at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena as they seek a strong finish to the league campaign.
Hearts further reassured supporters and the football fraternity that the squad remains safe ahead of the important fixture.
