Ghana international Yaw Yeboah has described the just-ended Major League Soccer season as the best campaign of his career after winning two trophies.

Yeboah played a key role in Columbus Crew winning the double at the end of the season after clinching the Eastern Conference title through a playoff as well as lifting the MLS Cup.

The 26-year-old scored the second goal in the MLS Cup final against Los Angeles FC last weekend to cap off a wonderful season.

Speaking following his arrival in Ghana, the former Black Meteors captain said: “For me [winning the two trophies] is amazing. It’s one of the best seasons I have ever had.”

“Winning both trophies in a week is amazing. I can’t describe the feeling. It’s the first time I am doing this and with a bigger club in America and also in the world.

“I am really happy for this.”

Yeboah was recently named in Ghana’s provisional 55-man squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Ivory Coast.
