WAFCON 2024: Kim Lars Bjorkegren elated with Black Queens Qualification to Quarter Finals
Head Coach for the Black Queens of Ghana, Kim Lars Bjorkegren has praised his players for securing qualification to the Quarter Finals of the ongoing Women’s African Cup of Nations in Morocco
Ghana defeated Tanzania 4-1 in the final group stage game of Group C to book their ticket to the last 8.
With Ghana qualifying with 4 points from the Group, Head Coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren says the team deserves the qualification.
“Ghana missed the knockout stages the last time that they played [in 2018 at home], and we have now made it past the group stages,” the Swiss trainer told CAF Media.
“The result is very important to us. We shall take it all in now because the players deserve this. They showed that they can stay true to our style and win,” he added.
The Black Queens will now lock horns with Algeria in the quarterfinals on Saturday, July 19.
