Thomas Partey EXCLUSION from Ghana squad for CAR revealed

Chris Hughton, Black Stars gaffer has named his squad for Ghana’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Central African Republic. His 25-man squad excluded Arsenal FC midfielder Thomas Partey.

According to the Ghana national team, the central midfielder has suffered an injury at training and needed to be left out of the AFCON qualifier.

“Thomas Partey is left out of the squad due to injury. According to his club, the player picked up an injury in training and could be on the sidelines for a while, however the Black Stars medical team is monitoring the situation.”

Thomas Partey is suspected to have suffered a groin injury grade 3. The healing time for that injury is 3-4 months.
