Forson Amankwah produced a decisive moment off the bench on Wednesday night, scoring the late winner to hand Norwich City F.C. a hard-fought 2-1 comeback victory against Sheffield United F.C. in their Round 37 clash in the English Championship.

The Ghanaian midfielder started the encounter among the substitutes but was introduced late in the contest, replacing Ali Al-Hamadi in the 81st minute as Norwich searched for a breakthrough.

His impact was immediate. Just three minutes after entering the pitch, Amankwah latched onto a pass from Paris Maghoma before firing home a well-taken effort that ultimately settled the contest and secured maximum points for the Canaries.

The victory lifts Norwich City to 15th place in the Championship standings, providing a boost as the campaign enters its decisive phase.

Having recently returned to full fitness, Amankwah will be eager to maintain his momentum in the coming months as he looks to strengthen his case for inclusion in Ghana’s Ghana national football team squad ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
