Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has outlined his tactical intentions ahead of a high-profile Ghana Premier League clash against Asante Kotoko.

The Tarkwa-based side will host the Porcupine Warriors at the TnA Stadium in a pivotal Week 29 encounter, with both teams eyeing crucial points in the title race.

Tanko acknowledged the magnitude of the fixture, stressing that matches against Kotoko carry added significance, especially given the current standings.

“I think playing Kotoko is always a big game, not only because of the name Kotoko, but because of where we are in the league now. Every game is very important, and we are playing at home, so we want to control the game. We want to win definitely,” Ibrahim Tanko told Medi TV.

The Medeama coach emphasized that his team’s approach will be centered on dictating play and making the most of their home advantage, while remaining mindful of the threat posed by their opponents.

“We want to keep our three points here. It’s not going to be easy, but like I said, we trained very well this week, and I hope that the boys will make it happen.”

With kickoff set for 3 pm on Sunday, the clash is expected to be fiercely contested as both sides look to strengthen their positions in the league standings.
