Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has lauded his players following their commanding 4-0 victory over Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.

The emphatic result, secured at the TnA Stadium, saw the Yellow and Mauves produce a dominant performance, particularly in the opening half where they netted three goals to effectively decide the contest early.

Medeama’s intensity and attacking precision left Kotoko with little room to respond, as the hosts maintained control throughout the encounter to secure a vital three points.

Reacting after the match, Tanko credited his squad’s preparation and commitment, highlighting their execution on the day.

“We were determined to keep the three points here. Looking at how we trained, the players did very well. I congratulate them, this is a very fantastic performance, especially in the first half,” Tanko said.

The victory lifts Medeama SC to the top of the league standings with 53 points, opening a two-point gap over second-placed Bibiani Gold Stars as the title race intensifies.

With momentum firmly on their side, Medeama will now turn their attention to their next fixture against Berekum Chelsea, where they will aim to extend their lead at the summit.
