Stuart Attwell Named Referee for Ghana vs Germany Friendly Clash
Stuart Attwell has been selected to officiate the upcoming international friendly between the Black Stars and Germany.
The experienced English referee will oversee proceedings in what is expected to be a closely contested encounter, as both teams continue preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Attwell’s appointment comes shortly after his involvement in a high-profile Premier League match featuring Manchester United and AFC Bournemouth, a game that drew considerable attention.
For the Ghana-Germany fixture, Attwell will be supported by assistant referees Simon Bennett and Ross Macleod, while Farai Hallam has been designated as the fourth official.
The video assistant referee (VAR) duties will be handled by Matt Donohue, with Sian Massey-Ellis providing support.
The match presents another important test for Ghana as they look to bounce back from their previous outing and fine-tune their approach against top European opposition.
