Ghanaian reggae-dancehall star Stonebwoy has thrown his weight behind the national football team with a major financial commitment to the Black Stars’ World Cup fundraising campaign.

During Friday night’s event, the award-winning musician announced a package worth $101,000, comprising $81,000 in cash and $20,000 in music-related services.

According to organisers, Stonebwoy’s donation is earmarked to assist in transporting Ghanaian fans to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico—ensuring the Black Stars receive strong support in the stands throughout the tournament.

The artiste’s gesture adds to a growing list of high-profile contributions from both individuals and corporations.

The fundraising initiative is intended to ease the financial load on the Ghana Football Association as it finalises preparations for the competition.
