Police Ladies Football Club have strengthened their squad with the signing of Danish striker Laura Juul Hansen as they prepare for their debut in the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU B Qualifiers.

The Ghana Women’s Premier League champions announced the move on Tuesday, August 19, via their official social media platforms.

“Let’s welcome Danish forward Laura Juul Hansen to the Polas family,” the club posted on X, confirming the arrival of their latest addition.

Hansen’s acquisition is expected to bolster the team’s attacking options as they gear up for a tough campaign in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire.

Police Ladies, who clinched their maiden Ghana Women’s Premier League title last season, will represent Ghana at the zonal qualifiers. They have been drawn in Group B, where they will battle Nigerian champions Bayelsa Queens FC, Sam Nelly from Benin, and ASKO from Togo.

Their campaign kicks off on Sunday, August 24, against Bayelsa Queens, before facing Sam Nelly, with their final group stage clash against ASKO scheduled for Saturday, August 30.

The qualifiers, which run from August 23 to September 4, will be staged at the Stade Charles Konan Banny in Yamoussoukro.

Only the winners of the WAFU B tournament will secure a ticket to represent the zone at the 2025 TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League.
