Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has called on the Ga Mantse and the entire Ghanaian community to rally behind the national team ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.

The former Ghana international paid a courtesy visit to the revered traditional leader as part of efforts to seek support and unity as the Black Stars look to revive their form and push for World Cup qualification.

Speaking during the visit, Addo emphasized the importance of national backing, urging Ghanaians to come together in support of the team’s mission.

“Ghana urgently needs victories to qualify for the World Cup. We need the support of all Ghanaians, especially the Ga chiefs, to stand with us in this task so that the whole nation can celebrate when we make it to the World Cup,” he stated.

His appeal highlights the significance of the upcoming qualifiers and the crucial role collective national support can play in boosting the team’s morale and performance.

Ghana currently sits joint top of Group I with nine points, level with Comoros, following crucial victories over Mali and the Central African Republic in their last two qualifying matches. The Black Stars will host Chad in Accra on March 21 before traveling to Morocco to face Madagascar on March 24.
