Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has acknowledged the strength of Madagascar ahead of Ghana’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier, warning that the game will not be an easy one.

Ghana will face Madagascar tonight at the Al Hoceima Grand Stadium, aiming to build on their dominant 5-0 victory over Chad last Friday.

However, Addo has stressed that Madagascar’s recent performances prove they will be a difficult opponent.

“We observed the Madagascar team, and they have done really, really well, especially in the last game, so they are in good form, and it’s going to be a tough game,” Addo said.

Madagascar secured an important win against the Central African Republic in their last outing, putting them just two points behind Ghana in Group I.

Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 19:00 GMT, with Ghana aiming to move one step closer to securing qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
