John Ansah Elected GHALCA Chairman
John Ansah has emerged as the new Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) following a decisive win in the elections held on Thursday at the GHALCA Secretariat, Accra Sports Stadium.
Ansah secured 96 votes, overwhelmingly defeating his opponent, Isaac Wilberforce Koomson, who garnered 35 votes. One vote was rejected, bringing the total votes cast to 132.
The election marks the end of Kudjoe Fianoo’s long tenure as chairman, with Ansah taking over the reins to lead the association into a new era.
In the Vice Chairmanship race, Phyllis Marku Moncar retained her position with a comfortable 94 votes against Nana Amankwah Kwakye, who received 34 votes.
Other positions filled during the elections include:
- RFA Representative: Gabriel Godwin secured 23 votes to defeat Isaac Gasper, who managed 7 votes.
- Premier League Representatives: Fred Tindan (26 votes) and Nkoo (18 votes) were elected, edging out Rahman, who received 14 votes.
With three terms of experience as a GHALCA Executive Member, Ansah is committed to fostering unity, ethical governance, and growth within the association.
