Dreams F.C. booked their place in the semifinals of the MTN FA Cup after edging past Heart of Lions F.C. 4–2 in a penalty shootout following a dramatic quarterfinal clash at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The encounter initially tilted in favour of the Kpando-based side, who struck first in the 32nd minute through Seedorf Asante. His goal handed Heart of Lions the advantage as they looked set to close out the contest.

However, the Believers refused to give up and found a crucial breakthrough late in the match. Deep into stoppage time, Seidu Suraj produced a vital equaliser in the 92nd minute after connecting with a cleverly executed set-piece, restoring parity and forcing the tie into extra time.

Despite the momentum shift, neither team managed to find a decisive goal during the additional 30 minutes, leaving the match to be settled from the penalty spot.

Dreams FC kept their composure during the shootout, converting key attempts to seal a 4–2 victory, ultimately ending Heart of Lions’ hopes of progressing further in the competition.

The result sends Dreams FC into the last four of the tournament, where they will now await the outcome of the quarterfinal clash between Attram De Visser FC and Medeama S.C. to determine their next opponent.
