Black Stars duo Mohammed Kudus and Antoine Semenyo have been recognised for their outstanding starts to the 2025/26 English Premier League campaign, earning places in the official Team of the Week.

Semenyo was the standout performer for Bournemouth in their clash with champions Liverpool at Anfield last Friday. Despite being subjected to racial abuse during the game, the 25-year-old showed remarkable composure and character, scoring twice in his side’s 4-2 defeat. His brace ensured he was the only player from a losing team to make the best eleven.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Kudus impressed on his competitive debut for Tottenham Hotspur. The Ghana midfielder, who recently joined from West Ham United, provided two assists in Spurs’ 3-0 victory over Burnley at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, underlining his creative influence in midfield.

The Ghanaian pair were joined in the Team of the Week by Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya, with Dan Ballard (Sunderland), Dan Burn (Newcastle United), and Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace) completing the defensive line.

In midfield, Habib Diarra of Sunderland and Manchester City’s summer signing Tijani Reijnders featured alongside Kudus.

The attack was led by Nottingham Forest’s Chris Wood, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, Bournemouth’s Semenyo, and Richarlison of Spurs, who netted twice in his side’s weekend win.

Adding to his recognition, Antoine Semenyo has also been shortlisted for the Premier League Player of the Week award, capping off a remarkable start to his season.
