Multimedia journalist and the Chief Operating Officer of Nkrataasem.com, Alex Kobina Stonne believes Black Stars head coach Otto Addo is a good at scouting than coaching.

This comes at the back of the failure of Ghana to qualify for the AFCON 2025 in Morocco after a bad run of results in the qualifiers.

During a post-game engagement with the press, Alex Kobina Stonne asked Otto Addo whether he is a certified coach or just a trainer scout

“Are you really a certified coach or a trainer scout”? He asked.

Otto Addo patiently narrated his coaching journey so far from Hamburger to his current job.

” When I was 37, I started my liscence C. I worked at Hamburger U19 as an assistant coach. Then for 5  years I was the head coach for Hamburger U19. Afterwards, I went to Denmark’s first division as an assistant coach for one and a half year.

Afterwards, I went to Borussia Mochengladbach as an assistant and talent manager. At that time, Kwasi Appiah asked me to scout Germany for six months for the 2014 World Cup. During that time, I did my licence B and licence A and after that I did my UEFA Pro licence as a coach with a lot studies. Because I played with Vincent Kompany, I went to Manchester City for one week to talk with Pep Guardiola.

I went to Brazil with Ghana for the World Cup in 2014 and scouted all the countries we played against. After that I went back to coaching  Borussia Mochengladbach as assistant coach then I went to Dortmund. So I did 12 years of coaching and six months of scouting. So what am I to you?” He asked.

Kobbystonne immediately replied Otto Addo that he is better at scouting than coaching. The answer abruptly ended the press conference.

Ghana have failed to qualify for the AFCON for the first time in 20 years and would not turn their attention to the World Cup qualifiers.
