Dreams FC head coach Abdul Karim Zito has expressed relief and satisfaction after his team moved out of the Ghana Premier League relegation zone with a crucial victory.

In a tense Week 16 fixture of the ongoing 2024/25 league season, Dreams FC edged past Accra Lions with a 1-0 win on Sunday.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Coach Zito highlighted the tactical challenge posed by their opponents and commended his team for their resilience and determination.

“It wasn’t easy for us. Lions came with a tactical system to stop us from doing what we wanted to do. When you watch the first half, we should have scored about 3, 4, or 5 goals. The second half, we were jittery. At the end of the day, I’m very happy that at least we’ve been able to lift ourselves out of the red zone.”

The narrow win has propelled Dreams FC to 14th place on the league table with 16 points, giving them a much-needed lifeline as they continue their fight to avoid relegation.
