Jordan Ayew Urges Black Stars to Stay Focused Ahead of 2026 World Cup Challenge

Captain of the Black Stars Jordan Ayew, has called on his teammates to remain focused and confident as preparations intensify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The experienced forward, who plays for Leicester City, delivered the message during an interview with Asempa FM, stressing that belief and proper preparation will be vital if Ghana are to perform well on football’s biggest stage.

“We need to prepare ourselves and believe,” Ayew said. “When we go out there to perform, we must stay focused and give our best.”

Ayew played a pivotal role during the qualification campaign, contributing significantly to Ghana’s successful run. The forward registered 14 goal involvements, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists.

At the tournament, Ghana will face a stern test in Group L, where they have been drawn alongside the England national football team, Croatia national football team, and the Panama national football team.
