Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Sadiq delivered a standout performance on Thursday evening, netting twice to lead AZ Alkmaar to a commanding 4-1 victory over Levski Sofia in the UEFA Europa Conference League playoff second leg.

Sadiq wasted no time putting his stamp on the game, firing AZ ahead within just three minutes of kickoff. The Dutch side quickly capitalized on their momentum, doubling their lead in the 6th minute when Mexx Meerdink calmly slotted home after a well-placed assist from Mees de Wit.

The 23-year-old Sadiq struck again before halftime, notching his second goal of the night to send AZ into the break with a dominant 3-0 lead and effectively putting the tie out of reach.

Levski Sofia showed brief signs of life at the start of the second half, pulling a goal back through Everton Bala in the 46th minute. However, AZ remained in control and restored their three-goal cushion late on when Lequincio Zeefuik found the net in the 86th minute.

With the comprehensive 4-1 win on the night and a 6-1 aggregate scoreline, AZ Alkmaar comfortably advanced to the group stage of the Europa Conference League, with Sadiq’s dynamic display proving instrumental in the triumph.
