Accra Hearts of Oak have firmly rejected reports suggesting the club has set an asking price for goalkeeper Benjamin Asare following his impressive performances for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In an official statement released on Tuesday, July 15, the Phobians described the circulating claims as inaccurate and insisted no transfer valuation has been placed on the Black Stars shot-stopper.

The club clarified that neither its management nor any authorised representative has disclosed a transfer fee or instructed anyone to speak on its behalf regarding Asare’s future.

“The Club wishes to state, unequivocally, that these reports are false and without factual basis. Accra Hearts of Oak has not placed any valuation on Benjamin Asare, and has not authorised any individual or media outlet to communicate a transfer fee or asking price on its behalf.”

The statement comes as speculation continues to grow over the goalkeeper’s future after his outstanding displays on football’s biggest stage sparked interest from clubs outside Ghana.

While dismissing the reports, Hearts of Oak emphasised that the club remains professional in its approach to transfer matters and would consider any proposal that benefits both the player and the club.

“As a professionally run football club, Hearts of Oak remains open to receiving and considering offers that serve the best interests of both the player and the Club. However, no official valuation has been communicated at this time, and any figures currently in circulation are speculative.”

The club also appealed to journalists, supporters and the wider football community to ignore rumours surrounding the goalkeeper’s valuation unless confirmed through official channels.

“The Club urges the media, our supporters, stakeholders, and the general public to disregard unverified reports regarding Benjamin Asare’s transfer value, and encourages all media organisations to confirm information through official Hearts of Oak channels prior to publication.”

Hearts of Oak further congratulated Asare on his performances for the Black Stars, expressing pride in the goalkeeper’s achievements during the World Cup.

“Accra Hearts of Oak remains immensely proud of Benjamin Asare’s achievements and congratulates him on his outstanding performances on the international stage.”

The club concluded by reaffirming its commitment to supporting the goalkeeper’s continued growth while maintaining professionalism and integrity in all transfer-related matters.
