The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season promises to deliver another thrilling round of football as iconic derbies and traditional rivalries are once again poised to take centre stage. This comes after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) officially released the full fixture list on Monday, August 4.
Among the standout clashes on the calendar is Ghana’s most storied football rivalry — Accra Hearts of Oak versus Asante Kotoko. The first leg of this historic encounter is scheduled for Matchday 5 at the Accra Sports Stadium, while the return fixture will be played on Matchday 22 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Last season, the two powerhouses shared the spoils in the Accra leg, while Asante Kotoko secured victory in Kumasi, underscoring the unpredictable and fiercely contested nature of the rivalry.
