Ghana remains 77th in latest FIFA Rankings

The Ghana Black Stars will close the 2024 football calendar year ranked 77th globally in the latest FIFA World Rankings, maintaining their 14th position in Africa.

The drop marks a challenging year for the senior national team, which fell four places in the November rankings after a lackluster finish to their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification campaign.

In October, Ghana held the 73rd spot globally, but their ranking declined following a string of disappointing performances. The Black Stars struggled throughout 2024, securing just three wins in 15 matches across all competitions. Only two of these victories came in official fixtures.

Ghana’s best global ranking in 2024 was 67th in February, but their form has steadily declined since.
