GFA, AQUABlue sign one-year partnership deal

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) and mineral water company, AQUABlue, have signed a one-year deal that will see the latter be the official water partner of the Association.

The official announcement of the partnership was made official at an event at the GFA Secretariat on Thursday, November 9.

AQUABlue is one of the products of the beverage manufacturing company, AKOA Beverages Limited.

The natural mineral water company expressed support to the GFA during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Central African Republic in Kumasi as well as during the KGL U-17 tournament.

Speaking at the event, President of the GFA, Kurt Okraku expressed delight with the decision of AQUABlue to extend their support to the association.

He added that he hopes after 12 months, the company will come back to extend the length of the deal.

The CEO of the company, Shadrach Akoenyenu, also emphasised the intentions of their partnership with the Ghana FA.

“We believe the partnership is not just about providing water but also about fostering a sense of togetherness and unity through the beautiful game of football,” he said.

“Our partnership with the Ghana Football Association is a testament and dedication to promoting unity in the spirit of sponsorship

AKOA Beverage Limited has been in operation in Ghana since 2020 and the partnership with the FA will see AQUABlue provide water for the 12 national teams as well as the staff of the association for the next 12 months.
