Frederick Asare Urges Kotoko Teammates to Win Remaining Matches in Title Push
Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare has issued a passionate rallying call to his teammates, urging them to give their all in the remaining fixtures of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season as they pursue the coveted league title.
The Porcupine Warriors currently sit at the summit of the league standings with 46 points after 25 games, maintaining a narrow lead in what has been a hotly contested title race.
Speaking to Wontumi FM ahead of their crucial Week 26 clash against Bechem United, Asare stressed the importance of maintaining focus and consistency in the final stretch of the campaign.
“Preparations have been very good. When we went away, we wanted a win but we couldn’t get the win. If we really want to win the league, then we have to win all our remaining matches,” he emphasized.
Looking ahead to their home fixture against Bechem United, the shot-stopper expressed confidence in the team’s readiness and determination.
“For the game against Bechem United, we are really prepared. Mentally, physically, I think we are very prepared to win the game,” Asare added.
Kotoko will host Bechem United on Sunday, April 14, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, with kickoff set for 3:00 PM. A victory would strengthen their position at the top and inch them closer to their goal of reclaiming the league title.
