Legon Cities FC assistant coach Saeed Adnan has attributed the team’s ongoing struggles in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season to inefficiencies in attack.

Following their narrow 1-0 loss to Hearts of Oak on Friday, January 3, Adnan expressed disappointment with the result, despite his belief that the team showed cohesion and determination throughout the game.

“It’s unfortunate we’ve lost to Hearts of Oak by a lone goal. If you look at the goal they scored, it’s not a chance they created. From the start of the game, you could see the telepathy among our boys, the possession, and the determination to win. It’s unfortunate we couldn’t make good use of the chances we created,” Adnan remarked.

He further acknowledged that the team’s inefficiency in the attacking third has been their Achilles’ heel this season.

“What we have learned is the technical execution in our attacking third. That is what we are lacking, and that is what is affecting the team,” he added.

The defeat marks yet another setback for Legon Cities, who are now firmly rooted at the bottom of the league table
